When we took over the Blue Shutters in 2007, we set out to bring a fresh look to this historic inn…and based on what we've heard from friends old and new, we're doing just that.

While there have been many improvements, one thing remains the same: our location just steps from Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. The Blue Shutters Beachside Inn offers sweeping ocean views – yet we're just minutes from some of the region's finest shops, art galleries, restaurants, museums and night spots.

The Blue Shutters is the perfect spot for that summer getaway, but more and more are finding the spring, winter and fall are just as inviting. We're open year round – if fact, we offer weekend specials throughout the off-season.
